3 cheers for clara :)
Wednesday, October 12, 2005 10:09 PM
hoooorraaayyy~!!! hoho. clara made her second attempt at makin chocolate ice cream and was successful !!! (:p once again. hoho!) its stunningly simple to make 'ice cream' and i noe many ppl who will =_= me if i tell u how to do it...
anyway :) heee.happiness is to be shared: just put tons and tons of milo powder into ur cuppa, add a tiny bit of water so that the whole solution is so damn saturated that there are lumps of milo floating about the mixture, and the thing looks n feels like hot chocolate. then, put the whole thing into the freezer, and voila~!! its ready in 2 hrs or less. yummy choco icecream. today i put my milo solution into a metal mould tat i bought for $2 the other day at ntuc :) (note: it's jus ONE mould. not a tray of it) it was sorta impulse buyin, cos i tot of the first icecream i made, and decided i wan a dinosaur imprinted on my second one...:) wad a cute mould.
haha. no wonder i go broke so quickly. i buy all sorts of nonsense. i bought a letter pad at the jap shop at bugis on friday. hee xD it was sooo pretty la!!! it looks like a scrapbook, with all sorts of cute pictures of jelly beans, burgers, little girls and all things sweet and yummy. a good excuse is that i buy all these nonsense for inspiration~....:) hehe.pretty pretty.
on monday, i went to dmd 0502 chalet. hilarious! lol. they booked some oo-loo place that looked like an old-folks home/delinquent sch. it was on the opposite end of pasir ris park too, so we had to cycle to cheers. it was a nice ride, though a little slow, and wilson had me try his lemon and lime bitters drink. DELICIOUS. it has this oldish look, packaged in a glass bottle...and it has got to be the best carbonated drink ever. sour with a v subtle after-taste of bitterness. yum yum!
aft the cycling we went to the playground to climb the big rope pyramid, and played this satellite disk look-a-like, which rotates automatically by momentum. sadly, we had no camera with us, cos it was simply hilarious when we all went tumbling about when the side of the disk we were sitting on went almost vertical. suffered a few scratches and (eek! o.o) mosquito bites, but haha. good fun :)
bbq...was interesting. turns out the guys cldn't start a fire and joanne had to do it. this is the age of women, i tell you. the girls were also the ones to marinate and skew the chicken and stand by the fire to cook and wash up. from my point of view, guys are getting more and more gu niang, afraid to do all the dirty work. goodbye chivalry and manliness, hello power women.
on tuesday, i went shopping with aud and qy!!! xD ~!! bought a b&w astro boy tote bag, and ate yummy gelato. i tried the kiwi and green tea flavour and qy said those are weird flavours. :S where gotttt. yummilicious. they're low fat too! hoho :p good for me.
i managed to borrow 2 Tim Powers books too. YOU GOTTA READ HIS BOOKS. really good action-packed urban fantasy fun. My favourite book of all: Expiration Date the book weaves everyday facts into fantasy, and actually makes you wonder if there really are such things in the world. :) mm-mm~!
hmmo. today, i went to ms gail's exhibition, i to eye, and it was located at her hse, somewhere along balestier road. some really oldish-lookin terrace hse complete with those china-town type windows. wad ghost stories are made of, if you ask me =x its a pretty hse, but not something i'd want to live in.
i to eye: an exhibition of the way ms gail sees herself, and the way others percieve her. it was truly...fantastic. she can do tons of styles, from abstract to jaw-dropping realistic, and she uses anything from pills u get at pharmacies to magic markers and oil pastels to draw herself. and her photography skills are...fabulous. her realistic painting looks jus like her photographs too, so. wad can i say. i have a new found respect for her. her works stun me. gorgeous gorgeous!!! i wanna paint and draw like her too. **glomps her painting of a boy and his grandpa**
:( mmm. i wanna upload some photos but the stupid bloggy pic thing isnt workin for me. tml, then. :)
p.s. i'm sorry amanda, for always bein late. muahx~! my kiss of apology for you is imprinted rite here on my blog. i kick my own butt for you. sorry your must-be lover is such a terrible person with time. i think i owe you 10 litres of coke alredi. hoho!
