the test wasn't as hard as i imagined it to be, but to type out all the elements and the number of atoms sure took up lots of time and made me feel like a robot. i didn't manage to complete coloring the tables though :( i think i left out 4 colors. i hope she doesn't penalize me for that. oh ya! we're gonna learn cascading style sheets nx week! at last something new

anyway, watched the da vinci code ytd. i still don't get all the hoo-ha over it. i mean, it's already classified fiction. and come on, to make the assumptions that Jesus is married with a family just because of a painting and some fictional 'facts' is really- lol -laughable. i wasn't offended at all (i tot i mite be slightly, at first) but, really. it isn't all that convincing. not more than my feelings & belief anyway.

but there are some really disgusting scenes in there *_* like how that pale dilated-pupils guy, Silas, whipped himself and put this spikey binding thing on his thigh to make himself bleed o_o''' like omg. he's not sharing Jesus' pain! he's a psycho, and a serious case at that. when he said with his dying breathe, "I am a ghost..."
i was like, "Damn right, you are." He's soooo pale it's scary.

today i woke up at 7 to pass daniel my lanyard cos i didnt wanna go to sch for one hr of lecture, only to see a msg from perry that sunk my heart - pls call me as soon as you see this msg. urgent.

the weeks go by so quickly.

i forgot to blog abt something tat happened a few days ago. i washed a pear and begun eating it. then i saw a bite mark in the pear which i don't remember leaving. i grew suspicious. (with a younger bro and a grandma at home, you can nv be too sure). so i bit off all the bits ard it, then threw it away. i think i'm always like that. i don't know if i made that bite, refuse to face it, beat ard the bush, then throw the whole situation away. i'm always like that.

anyway, had the briefing for the Siggraph trip to NewYork ytd T_T like omg la. $3700?! i don't even dare ask my parents abt it. *_* guilty guilty... omg omg!!! where am i gonna get tat money? who wants to donate to poor me *_*?

i really wanna go for siggraph. ommmmmgggggg. Pixar, EVERYBODY will be there *_* there'll be workshops. there'll be exhibitions. there'll be pros teaching me pro stuff *_* wowwwww. for 5 whole days. and aft tat we'll go touring their studios. how cool is that. where do u ever get to do that?! knowing that we're gonna haf the briefing abt the 2-week study trip to the US tml, perry, shi han, eliz, aman and I got so excited we decided we have to find out what the weather's like over there. so we loaded internet explorer, stumbled onto a few useless sites, and finally found ourselves on bbc.com.
"Boston" we happily typed into the word search - to perry's uttter horror, the temperature there is 9 degrees. haha. then we realised we were on the wrong page - we were on Boston, UK. so we backtracked and loaded the US page only to find the lecturer coming in and asking us to scram. but we were determined to find out what's it like there now. so we stayed on till the page loaded - 22 degrees :)

:S it doesn't reall sound as amusing here, writtten in words, but the atmosphere there was so funny la, with perry screaming at shi han and all of us squatting around a small computer screen waiting for a page to load. haha x)

well, really good news today xD the 3d assg dateline is gonna be pushed to nx fri so ,yay! xD i'm just gonna ignore it for as long as i can and do my motion graphics. hurhur.

maya is a very powerful software.
so powerful it takes years off my life each time i use it .T_T. what can i say. 3d modelling is just so not my forte. i purposely made the image small cos they're ugly. hurhur x((

erm. yeap. so i went out with sq ytd to bugis to buy my mummy's day present. the real reason i wanted to go to bugis is because :p i wanted to buy my red with white polka-dot bag xD yay!!! and of cos, i bought it. butttt. the main motivation for goin out was still mummy's present. haha. i bought her 3 (there were only 3 different flavors) low-fat yoghurt bars aft much thought. haha. she was so happy when she saw it today, saying she's not gonna share it with anyone and she's gonna keep it to herself and include it in her low-fat diet plan.

x) i think it feels so sweet sometimes when ppl want to be selfish aft recieving your present. i hope everyone's selfish with my presents. *hehe. wad a bad thought :p

(and their vehicles are tons prettier than mine T_T) there are more than a few perrys out there!!! omg. T_T why is the world moving towards 3d animation?! i like drawing more than all these technical stuff.

and only after getting the shock of my life in the forum, reality dawned on me. that i have tons of hmwk i have yet to touch.
1. motion graphics, 2. 3d modelling, 3. 2d run cycle, 4. study for 3d animation test, 5. webdesign tutorials.
like oh shit. and...they're like, erm, due nx week o_o i never realised i had so much to do *_* oh dear oh dear. oh dear. oh freak shit aaaahhhhhh!

oh man, i love drawing module now T_T it's the easiest, the fastest, the slackest.

aaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!! maya hanged on me T_T just as i did part of my motorcycle...so now all i have is the wheel. back to square one. boo. well, i was really patient today *_* (halo shines especially bright) and i didn't scream or anything even aft maya hanged. instead, i calmly closed the program, and headed off to dinner. so now aft dinner, i'm even calmer than before, and just decided to rant just in case there's some anti-3d modelling angry worm in me waiting to explode.

well, =x skipped 3d modelling make-up today, but i sure learnt a lot abt previous maya lessons from cheehui's wonderful notes! *_* she's a godsend. Thank you, ch! xD

well, met up with aud for a little shopping trip to art friend, and i stocked up on graphite pencils, black pastels/charcoal(?) and drawing block. the *toooot* guy said the drawing block was a2, but when i came home and put in beside my catridge paper, it's smaller than a2!!! grr.
!@#$%^&* guy. bluff me. T_T so i'm sorry, mada. but it looks like the same one Miss Gwen was holding, so i guess it'll be alright =x if you're still unhappy we can go back and scold the guy. (hehe xP)

well, on my way home i realised that there are 3 kinds of ppl i can't stand in the mrt:

1. kiasu ppl - i can't stand them. they're so..omg. kiasu -.-
today i saw this disgusting auntie who was so eager for a stupid seat, when she saw someone getting ready to leave and putting her baby in the pram, she went up to the pram, held it for the person, then pushed it away from the person as if willing the person to leave. she didnt even know the person! eew, i wanted to kick her butt. UH. disgusting. i was really happy the person didnt leave. instead, her fren took over the pram and left the train. so the disgusting auntie rushed for another seat infront of me. i was trying to glare very hard, but obviously her eyes were as small as mine and she didn't realise i was glaring -.-
shame on her. rar.

2. smelly ppl - eew. like, put on some deoderant for everyone's sake :S !!! yes, i love niceee smells. if testdrive has a fetish for hands, i'd say i have a fetish for nice smells. soap, pancakes, pacific paradise & CK are the best.

3. ppl who talk really loud - hello?! i can't even hear my music o_O they got to deaf. and they just don't get it even when the whole train is staring at them -.-

i'm in school now and i'm waaaaiiiiting for the teacher to come see my work. boohoo. i don't really like waiting. T_T maybe i shldn't have done my work aft all, then i'd be doing work now like some other ppl and i won't be so bored. i think it's quite a waste of time, and they go so slowly from one student to the next T_T...imagine. i woke up at 6.10 just for this.

anyway, had a great day ytd! :) it was our first drawing lesson with the sheridan lecturer and i was so terrified at first, but he isn't that bad after all x)) he's quite nice & encouraging, actually! he has long brown hair (think snape's hairstyle, just a little drier, a little thicker, and of a much lighter shade), a beard, and is a long and lanky kind of guy. reallyyyyy tall. i felt a little like a midget :S

well, thank God it was a good drawing day ytd.
(good drawing days: days when the pencil is magic on paper.)
actually, i used charcoal sticks for the first time! xD wa-wee! (note: there's a big diff between charcoal sticks and charcoal pencils.) haha. it's so nice to use. so wonderfully dirty and so easy to shade T_T i wish i'd tried it sooner. yay x)) will be meeting my dear aud tml to buy MORE charcoal sticks! disappearing too quickly is probably the only bad point abt it.

slippers must hate me. i've broken 3 already.

so goes my day:
1.Broke slippers when i reached the mrt station

2.Walked back to my house, with one bare foot
(i felt like a cave man & everyone was staring)

3.Ran to the station cos i was already terribly late

4.Didn't manage to get out of the train in time, so i missed my station

5.Someone dropped shaker fries on my bag

6.Spilled a bit ice lemon tea on myself

7.Went to the OMG house to do our storyboards (aka Cheryl's house)

now, i'll pause here to elaborate. Cheryl's house is GORGEOUS. like, right out of a magazine.

you walk in to an awesome porch made of panels of wood and a built-in koi pond.
step into the house, you see a really comfy couch facing a gigantic lcd tv.
walk on, you see 2 airwells at your sides.
on your right, there's a wooden chair sitting calmly by a wall that has flowers carved in it.
on your left, there lies a black shallow pond, with small orange goldfish, sitting amidst smooth grey pebbles and contrasting rough beige tiles.
that's just the front portion of the house. everything else is OMG too, really; like her parent's walk in wardrobe and stuff. T_T .just WOW. amazing. i'm so going back there to take pictures *_* !

oh, and we were so fascinated by her fish that Cheryl gave us some bread to feed them. hehe. we fed the small ones in the black pond, and the big ones outside on the porch. i'd say the big ones are so much more fun! hehe. cos the biggest koi always gets the food (it just bangs the smaller ones away), me and amanda took it upon ourselves to make sure the smallest one gets some food! oh, such nobility :P!

we tried all sorts of ways, even creating distractions with some floating bread near the front, then throwing some squashed bread (so it sinks) to the small fish swimming at the back. well T_T turns out the fish is either blind/has no competitiveness in it at all, so it nv got to eat a single piece we threw for it. lol. we were laughing, screaming and cheering for it all the while. haha. so fun xD really laughed till i cramped up. lol. xD

8.Came home, had dinner with sq & watched him (in horror) eat his humungous amount of food with frightening speed *_*

9.Sq helped me install Maya!!! (and dreamweaver, and adobe after effects and helped me find out what was rong with my harddisk. haha. *_* thank God for helpful and smart ppl like him)
i striked maya off my wishlist! haha! at long last! thank you, sq xD !

despite all that happened in the first half of the day, I'd say my day was really pretty good x)

basically, they teach me the fundamentals of everything - web design, 3d modelling/animation, 2d animation, drawing, digital softwares like photoshop & illustrator.
so right now i'm in year 2 and i'm specialising in animation, but i still do web design stuff. i'm also learning motion graphics (using Adobe After Effects) - something like the spinning channel 5 icons, and the twirly graphics you see b4 a project superstar episode )

i feel so loved nowadays i'm beginning to wonder if it's alright to be like that. lol! besides the love letter ytd, today aud gave me a call aft sch to tell me she bought the wrapping papers i wanted ytd x) aw. and i was clinging on to her arm half the time while watching Mission Impossible III ytd cos the cinema was sooooooo cold. i bet amanda wld just have solidified and become numb in that temp. anyway, thank you for your love, pretties!
well, MI 3 was really good!!! xD at least, i think so. the action was good, and add in a bit of drama to warm the heart. just about perfect.

today was an ok day =_= save for the fact i feel a little lousy about my grp's storyboards aft seeing the other grps. and we have to get our timing reel done by the coming MONDAY~!!! -.- and we have to change the characters, camera angles...it's almost like changing the whole thing, really. in 3 short days.
i hope we manage to get our act together as a grp by monday. i want our animation to air during that Berlin Childrens' Fest or something like that *_* whatever.

boohoo. every half an hr or so i feel the need to go poop cos my poop has become strangely watery T_T and the weird part is i've been eating less vege & fruits, and drinking less water than normal cos i keep eating out. but then again, i guess i shld be grateful, because if you don't know, i have the constant problem of real bad old-ppl-constipation.
